Wallet Setup

Which wallet to choose and how to prepare it for GuardPay deals

Which wallet to choose

GuardPay operates on the TRON blockchain. To sign deals you need a personal wallet that supports TRON and smart contracts.

WalletPlatformRecommendation
TronLinkiOS, Android, Desktop ExtensionRecommended — official TRON wallet
Trust WalletiOS, AndroidPopular multi-chain wallet
OKX WalletiOS, AndroidSupported
Exchange wallets are not suitable

Exchange wallets (Binance, Bybit, OKX exchange) are NOT suitable — they cannot sign smart contracts. You need a personal wallet app.

TronLink Mobile (iOS / Android)

The official wallet for the TRON blockchain. Best choice for mobile deals via Telegram.

  1. Download TronLink from App Store or Google Play
  2. Create a new wallet — the app will show 12 words (seed phrase). Write them down on paper and store in a safe place. Without these words it is impossible to recover access to your wallet.
  3. Check the network — by default TronLink operates on TRON Mainnet, no changes needed
  4. Fund your wallet — transfer USDT TRC-20 (deal amount) + at least 20-50 TRX to cover gas fees
  5. Copy your address — on the main screen tap your address (starts with T...) and select "Copy"
Tip

When GuardPay asks you to sign a transaction — the link will automatically open in TronLink's built-in browser. Simply tap "Confirm" in the popup window.

TronLink Desktop (Chrome Extension)

A browser extension for Chrome. Suitable for signing deals from a computer.

  1. Install the extension from Chrome Web Store
  2. Create or import a wallet — if you already have a mobile TronLink, you can import using the seed phrase
  3. Sign the deal — open the signing link in Chrome. TronLink will show a popup with transaction details — verify the amount and contract address, then click "Confirm"

Trust Wallet

A popular multi-chain wallet with TRON support.

  1. Download Trust Wallet from App Store or Google Play
  2. Create a wallet — write down the seed phrase on paper
  3. Enable TRON — if the TRON network is not displayed, go to settings and enable it manually
  4. Fund your wallet — transfer USDT TRC-20 + TRX for gas
  5. Connect to GuardPay — open the signing link via the built-in DApp Browser in Trust Wallet. If DApp Browser is not visible — paste the link into the address bar of the built-in browser.

How much TRX is needed for gas

Every operation on the TRON network requires energy and bandwidth. For this you need a TRX balance in your wallet.

  • Minimum 20-50 TRX in your wallet to get started
  • Each operation (approve, deal creation, confirmation) costs approximately $0.50-1 in TRX
  • Without TRX the transaction will not send — the wallet will show an error
Advice

Keep 50-100 TRX in your wallet as a reserve — that is enough for several deals. TRX is spent gradually, not all at once.

How to fund your wallet

  1. Buy TRX and USDT on an exchange (Binance, OKX, Bybit or any other)
  2. Copy your TRON address from your wallet (starts with T...)
  3. Withdraw to your address — when withdrawing from the exchange select the TRC-20 network
Always verify the network

When withdrawing from an exchange you MUST select the TRC-20 (TRON) network. If you choose ERC-20 (Ethereum) or another network — funds will go to a different blockchain and will not appear in your TRON wallet. Recovery will be impossible.
